FOR BUSINESSES OPERATING WORLDWIDE

Global Outsourcing & Virtual CFO.

Beyond India, our Global desk runs the finance function for US, UK, Singapore and UAE businesses — Virtual CFO, controllership, monthly management reporting, FP&A and multi-entity consolidation. Where an engagement needs a credentialed local filing, we coordinate with an independent professional licensed in that jurisdiction, engaged separately, who prepares and files it directly.

05 · Frequently asked

Questions clients ask

How does the coordination model work?

Advisory Monks Consulting runs your bookkeeping, monthly close and management reporting, and maintains the underlying accounting records. Where a jurisdiction requires a locally licensed filing, we coordinate with an independent professional licensed to practice in that jurisdiction (US CPA, UK Chartered Accountant, Singapore Chartered Accountant, UAE-licensed practitioner), engaged under their own separate engagement letter — they prepare and file the return directly from the records we maintain. Advisory Monks Consulting does not itself prepare or file foreign statutory tax returns.

Can Advisory Monks Consulting be my primary point of contact across multiple jurisdictions?

Yes. The Global desk model is designed to give clients a single point of contact across multiple jurisdictions — Advisory Monks Consulting runs the accounting and management reporting, and coordinates with an independent, licensed practitioner in each jurisdiction for the local statutory filing. This reduces coordination overhead and keeps the numbers consistent across jurisdictions, while the licensed filing itself stays with the practitioner authorised to practice there.

What is the timeline for a US filing coordinated through the Global desk?

Once your accounting records are complete, we hand off to the independent US CPA we coordinate with. Typical turnaround for a Federal Form 1040 with standard schedules and foreign disclosures (FBAR, Form 8938, Form 5471 if applicable) is 3 to 5 weeks from complete information, prepared and filed directly by that CPA. More complex filings — Form 1120-F, multiple foreign entity disclosures, GILTI computations, or PFIC analysis — can extend to 6 to 8 weeks. Filing deadlines: federal personal returns are due April 15 (with automatic 6-month extension to October 15); corporate returns are due based on entity fiscal year.

How do you coordinate with my existing accountant or counsel?

We frequently operate alongside existing accountants or counsel in specific jurisdictions, with the role demarcation calibrated through a scope memorandum. Where the existing relationship is functioning well, the Global desk typically coordinates the new jurisdiction's filing through an independent licensed practitioner there, or handles the integrated cross-border advisory, while the existing accountant continues their established scope. Where the client wants a single point of contact across jurisdictions, we coordinate the transition over an agreed handover window.

What is the cost structure for Global desk engagements?

Consistent with the firm's broader pricing approach, Global desk fees are tailored to the specific scope of engagement rather than priced per service unit. For engagements involving a coordinated foreign filing, fees are typically structured per filing cycle with quarterly review and adjustment. For ongoing operational accounting and management reporting, fees are typically structured as monthly retainer arrangements.

Does the Global desk coordinate UAE Corporate Tax registration and filing?

Yes. UAE Corporate Tax (introduced from 1 June 2023) coordination is a substantive workstream of our Global desk. We coordinate with our independent, UAE-licensed practitioner partner, who handles Corporate Tax registration with the Federal Tax Authority, the corporate tax return filing, the Free Zone qualifying status assessment and ongoing maintenance, and VAT registration and compliance where applicable. Advisory Monks Consulting's own scope covers the integrated UAE-India tax position where the entity has Indian operations or shareholders.
